This sweet little vintage figurine from J.L.Co. shows a graduate wearing a white cap and gown, with a gold tassel hanging from the mortarboard. Holding a diploma and has a couple of books tucked under one arm. This figurine has been beautifully hand painted; with rosy cheeks and a happy closed-eyes expression to those perfect tiny red lips. Just too cute!
This ceramic figurine probably dates from the late 1950's or 1960's and is unusual in that the white glaze has a matte chalk-like finish. It really makes that shiny diploma stand out! Measuring just over 4” tall and is in good vintage condition. Would make an adorable cake topper!
