Vintage Carnival Prize Chalkware, "The Night Prayer" depicts a child kneeling, looking up with hands clasped, next to a chair draped with clothes. Dates from the 1940-50's.
"Carnival chalk" refers to chalkware figures given out as carnival game prizes during the first half of the 20th century, especially during World War II.
In good condition, some scuffs from age.
