Vintage Longevity Peach Chinese Porcelain Art Figurine, Circa 1950's -1960's. It features 3 children holding a longevity peach, which not only symbolizes longevity in life, family, but how children are the future that supports their family. The peach is a lucky symbol in Chinese culture.

Legend held that certain peach trees produced a fruit that offered immortality when eaten. In Chinese mythology, the Peaches of Immortality are a fruit that grow in the garden of Xiwangmu, the Queen Mother of the West. The peaches are said to grant immortality and longevity to those who eat them. The trees blossomed every 3,000 years.

This figurine is in excellent condition and measures approximately 6"Tall x 5" Wide. It would would make an awesome gift as a symbol of luck or a fabulous addition to any figurine collection or display.
