Vintage Set of 2 Hartstone Pottery Blue Orchid Fruit Canisters, Stoneware Canister Jars with Lids, Made in USA.

These lovely cream and blue stoneware canister jars was created by Hartstone Pottery, Zanesville, Ohio, USA, and originally came filled with biscotti. Each canister features a script letter H on the front by the cherries and is also marked on the bottom and dated Circa 1983. In excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or staining (appear to have been never used), they have a simple, yet charming design.

The larger piece measures approximately 7" H x 4-1/2" in diameter and the smaller one measures approximately 6" H x 3-3/4" in diameter -- they make awesome decor pieces. These cream colored jars with Blue Orchid Fruit pattern would also make a great addition to a collection/display. They are substantial pottery pieces for storing everything from cookies, to flour, sugar, rice or whatever else needs to be stored -- even various supplies in the craft room or for your pet treats. The possibilities are many.
