Early to mid 20th Century bronze on cast iron Elephant bookends that measure approximately 4" Tall x 4 3/4" Wide and weigh nearly 2lbs each. Sturdy enough to hold up your books or to be used as paper weights or door stops.

Manufactured by Bron Met (see pic). Some green felt on bottoms (not original). BronMet bronzed cast iron elephant bookends are vintage decorative items, notable for their solid construction and classic design. Each bookend typically features a cast iron silhouette of an elephant, finished with a bronze patina to enhance its aesthetic appeal.

In excellent vintage condition, bronze patina with golden highlights, a great addition to your desktop, book case/shelf or mantle. The base of each elephant is inscribed with "BronMet," accompanied by a copyright date indicating their production period. Date is difficult to read/determine.
