Vintage Pennsbury Pottery "Birds Over Heart Design" Pedestal Cake Stand/ Plate, Folk Art Style, Made in USA, Circa 1955. Hand-painted, this unique folk art pottery features two birds over a heart with an Amish couple.

This vintage cake stand/ plate is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. The stand is etched "Pennsbury Pottery, Morrisville, PA" on the bottom. It has a simple folk art style pattern that draws you to it.

Pennsbury Pottery is one of those names we don't always hear about. Founded in 1950 by Henry Below, his wife and son, and known for its "Americana Style", it remained in business for just two decades before a fire destroyed it in 1970. This stand measures approximately 4-1/4" Tall x 11" in diameter.

A great "Americana Folk Art" piece, this cake stand is functional as well as very collectible. It's simply awesome. Perfect farmhouse/country decor, great holiday entertaining, and awesome gift. Can be used to display cakes, cookies, pies, muffins, or cupcakes or just as an interesting decor piece.
