This lovely Seymour Mann "Morning Glory" teapot is predominantly white with a floral design featuring blue and pink morning glories with green leaves. The handle and spout are sculpted, and the lid has a small knob on top. This pattern was modeled after a watercolor by Eda and features pink and blue flowers with green leaves.
This vintage teapot from Mann is a substantial porcelain piece. I love the shape and handle design. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or staining -- it appears to have never been used.
This charming teapot is stamped and marked "Morning Glory from an original water colour by Eda, Fine China by Mann" on the bottom. It measures approximately 8-3/4" Tall (from the top of the lid) x 6-1/2" Wide (spot to handle), with an approximate 5 cup capacity.
Seymour Mann Inc. was an importer of porcelain products including home accents, dolls and other collectibles which he sold through major department stores. In 1946 the company started out as Lipper & Mann and was located at 225 Fifth Avenue, New York. They specialized in European imports of ceramics and fine glass.
This tea pot is a perfect accent for any kitchen or decor. Also makes a great gift for a tea lover or teapot collector. The colors are vibrant and simply beautiful.
