Vintage Chubu China Hand-Painted Decorative Plate, 8-1/4" Reticulated Edge and Floral Pattern, Circa 1945-1952, Made in Occupied Japan

This vintage collectible plate is simply lovely. It measures approximately 8-1/4" and is marked "Chubu China, Made in Japan" on the bottom. It has a string hanger on the back for wall mount, or it can sit in a display easel. (a wire could also be added for wall mount)

"Chubu China" refers to Chubu China, a region in the Chubu region of Japan, and specifically to porcelain produced there during the period of American occupation of Japan after World War II (1945-1952). This era saw the export of many items marked "Occupied Japan", including pottery, and Chubu China was a notable maker of this type of porcelain.

In excellent condition, this plate makes a fabulous gift for a great decor piece. It features a vivid colored floral design, reticulated edge, and a beautiful gold trim around all the flowers and around the rim. (Photos do not do the gold accents justice.)
This plate also makes an awesome addition to any collection or display. Absolutely gorgeous!
