Vintage Blue and White Elaborately Decorated Vase, Birds and Floral Pattern, Made in Japan, Circa 1970's

This blue and white porcelain vase is collectible, functional and beautiful. It stands approximately 10-1-/2" tall x 4 1/8" wide (across the top) and is in excellent condition. This simply designed vase would be lovely as a gift or an awesome addition to any collection or display.

This vase features a traditional floral and bird motif, and in is stamped on the bottom with the makers mark, likely for Maebata Pottery, a Japanese company known for producing ceramics. This vase was made by painting a white porcelain body with cobalt oxide designs, glazing it, then firing it at a high temperature.

This beautifully simple vase would look awesome on your dining table, coffee table, or mantle with a bunch of fresh cut flowers. -- or as a stand alone decor piece. Simply fabulous!
