Vintage Belleek Swan Creamer/Pitcher, Made in Ireland, Circa 1965-1980

This is a beautiful 'Belleek' Ireland porcelain creamer in the shape of a swan. The creamer is a light eggshell porcelain and has detailed eyes and the buttercream yellow wings with a pearlescent finish and hand-painted detail. It is in excellent condition and has no chips or cracks. It has 6th green mark from 1965-1980 on the bottom. It measures approximately 3-1/2"Tall x 4 1/4" Wide. It is in excellent condition. with no cracks, chips or staining.

This sweet swan can be used as a creamer, trinket dish, or planter -- or a stand alone decor piece.
In the photos you can see how delicate and luminous the porcelain is, as the light actually shines through it.

The Belleek factory produces porcelain that is characterized by its thinness, and slightly iridescent surface and that the body is formulated with a significant proportion of frit -- which is a powdered, partially fused mixture of materials, typically applied to the surface of glass for decorative or functional purposes. The frit is then fired, or melted, into the glass, creating a durable and permanent design or coating.
