Lenox "Sans Souci Basket" Embossed and Hand Decorated with 24K Gold Trim, Made in USA

This vintage Lenox "San Souci" embossed porcelain basket with 24K gold trim is simply charming. Made in the USA, it features a pretty embossed floral design (on both sides) with gold accents on the handle and around the rim. Discontinued pattern. Stamped on the bottom,"Lenox, Made in USA" and features the original gold "San Souci Basket" sticker on the bottom.

This lovely basket measures approximately 4-1/4" W (front to back) x 6" W, (side to side) x 5" High. It's in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or stains --looks like it was never used. It can be used for candy, nuts, succulents, trinkets -- the possibilities are many. Makes a wonderful gift or a special treat for yourself.

For most of the 20th century, Lenox was the most prestigious American maker of tableware, and the company produced other decorative pieces as well. Several Lenox china services were commissioned for the White House. By 2020, it was the last significant manufacturer of bone china in the United States, until the pandemic forced the closure of the company's only remaining American factory, making Lenox made in the USA, more collectible and rare.
