This vintage Japanese Hinode Moriage tea set, featuring a beautifully hand-painted teapot, creamer, and lidded sugar bowl is three dimensional and elegant. A rare find, each piece in this set showcases intricate designs with a luxurious green and gold color scheme, accented by delicate flowers and gold trim.

Hinode Moriage refers to a specific style of decorative Japanese porcelain, particularly known for its raised, three-dimensional designs, often likened to cake frosting. The term "Hinode" translates to "sunrise" in Japanese. Hinode Moriage pieces are known for their vibrant colors, intricate designs, and the three-dimensional appearance of the decorations.

This set is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. There are some spots inside the teapot as a result of the manufacturing process. (see photos)

The teapot measures approximately 8-3/4" Tall (from the top of the lid to bottom) x 9-1/2"Wide (from spout to handle), the sugar bowl measures 6-1/2" Tall (from top of lid) x 7" Wide (handle to handle) and the creamer measures 4" Tall x 5" Wide (handle to spout).

Circa 1955, this tea set is a perfect accent for any decor, makes a great gift for a tea lover or teapot collector. Hinode Moriage pieces are sought after by collectors for their unique artistry and historical significance. Rare find.
