Vintage Royal Copenhagen Fluted Full Lace Demitasse/Espresso Coffee Cup and Saucer, Pattern 1038, Made in Denmark, Rare Find

This vintage Royal Copenhagen blue fluted full lace demitasse cup and saucer is absolutely beautiful. Designed by Arnold King, and made in Denmark, this cup and saucer measures approximately Cup - 2-1/4" Wide x 3" Tall x Saucer - 4-1/4" Wide. This gorgeous set is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, repairs, or stains. (it appears to have never been used) It is pattern # 1038 -- which is known for its delicate blue floral design on white porcelain and openwork lace border.

This fabulous cup and saucer features hand-painted blue flowers and foliage against a white background. The "full lace" variation includes an openwork lace border around the rim of the piece. Each piece is hand-painted, making each one unique. This set is marked with the "Royal Copenhagen Denmark Logo and 1/1038" on the bottom. This dates the piece to the 1960's.
