Vintage Crown Silver Company Double Scallop Shell-Shaped Serving Dish, Silver Plated, Crown Crest Mark with C S, Brookline MA, 1935-1950

Vintage Crown Silver Company brand silver plated divided scallop shell-shape dish. It features 2 divided scallop shells with a center handle for easy carry. Serve snacks, nuts, candy, condiments, etc., in this lovely mid-century style dish.

In good condition, (we did not clean/polish for fear of losing patina). this elegant serving dish measures approximately 10-1/2 W (Side to side x 5-1/4" L (each scallop shell) x 4-3/4"H and the handle is 2-1/2" W. It has an etched Crown Over a Shield with letters "C S" on either side. it took us a long time to find this mark but according to "Silver Hallmarks and Marks", it belongs to Crown Silver Company Inc of Brookline, Mass (1935 - 1950).

Makes a fabulous collector gift, or a beautiful addition to any collection or display. Can be used for food, snacks, or other items such as jewelry, etc.
