Vintage Beswick "Rough Collie" Ceramic Figurine, model 1814, Made in England

Here is a Beswick Collie figurine, model number 1814. Designed by Arthur Greddington, is was produced by Beswick from 1962 to 1975. Brown and white representation of a Rough Collie dog, it measures approximately 3 1/4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches long. The model is also referred to as Lochinvar of Lady Park.

In excellent condition, minor crazing, no chips, cracks or repairs. Stamped "Beswick England" and original foil sticker on bottom.

Established in 1894, Beswick pottery was a fine example of quality British design and manufacturing. Originally producing tableware and ornaments, Beswick was renowned for its creation of fine ceramic models and gift pieces that were collected worldwide. In 1969, the Beswick factory was sold to Royal Doulton and 2002 saw the final closure of the site.
