Vintage "Asiatic Pheasants" Toile Green English Transferware round serving bowl, "Parliament by Premiere", Circa 1950's. The "Parliament by Premiere" brand is associated with the "Asiatic Pheasants" pattern, a popular blue and white and green and white transferware design, produced in England. These items date back to the mid-20th century. The pattern features a distinctive bird and floral motif and is found on various pieces of tableware -- such as plates, bowls, and teacups. The pattern is applied using the transferware technique, and the backstamp is printed.

The "Asiatic Pheasants" pattern was very popular, being one of the most common patterns produced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, according to Museums Victoria Collections. This particular bowl is a rare find, because of its green color.

Made in the England, this bowl is stamped on the back, "Parliament by Premiere, The original manufacturer of Asiatic Pheasants, Founded in 1835 England". It is a desirable serving bowl for any collector of the Asiatic pattern or transferware. For your mid-century retro kitchen, this pattern featuring toile green on a white background is awesome. In excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or stains, this serving bowl measures approximately 8-1/2" in diameter x 4" Tall.
