Vintage Crown Trifari Gold Five-Petaled Flower Five-Heart Brooch/Pin, Circa 1960's

This lovely five heart shaped openwork petal pin/brooch is a really substantial piece of jewelry. Signed Trifari with the crown on a plaque on the back, this brooch looks brand new. It features intricate filigree work forming a stylized flower with heart-shaped or openwork petals.

It is made from Trifanium -- which was a patented, tarnish-resistant metal alloy created by the Trifari company in 1947 for their costume jewelry, known for its smooth and durable properties. The silver-colored base alloy was then plated to create a "golden-toned Trifanium" or a "platinum-toned Trifanium," allowing Trifari to produce high-quality, non-precious metal jewelry during a time when precious metals were scarce.

This brooch would be great as an accent on a lapel, sweater, dress, or and embellishment for a hat. This is a beautiful Crown Trifari piece that would make a fabulous addition to any jewelry collection and a great gift for someone who appreciates quality vintage jewelry. This fabulous pin/brooch measures approximately 1-3/4" H and 1-3/4" W.
