The Old Curiosity Shop Pattern Green Sugar Bowl with Lid and Creamer Set, By Royal, USA, Transferware, Circa 1950's

Very cute green transferware creamer and sugar bowl with lid set in "The Old Curiosity Shop" pattern and manufactured in the 1950's. The pattern was inspired by the Charles Dickens novel of the same name. The pattern features different scenes on each piece, including a lamplight, an open book and a pair of eyeglasses, and an oil lamp, open book and a sand timer. This pattern is discontinued, making it more special and collectible.

The creamer measures approximately 5-1/2" Wide (from handle to spout) x 3-1/8" Tall. The sugar bowl measures approximately 4-1/4" Tall from top of knob x 6" Wide (handle to handle).

Condition is excellent -- no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing - looks unused. Collectible and functional, this beautiful Creamer and Sugar Bowl would make a great addition to any collection/display as well as a special occasion gift for a collector or a Charles Dickens fan. Makes an awesome kitchen/dining decor piece.
