Vintage Antique Rare J.M.P. Bell & Co. Transferware Plate in the "Palestine" Pattern, Made in Glasgow Scotland, Circa 1860-1912

$85.00

Vintage Antique J.M.P. Bell & Co. Transferware Plate in the "Palestine" Pattern, made in Glasgow Scotland, Circa 1860-1912. Blue and white decor.

J. & M. P. Bell & Co. pottery was a Glasgow-based company founded by brothers John and Matthew Perston Bell in 1841. They initially made kitchen wares but 1860 marked a shift to producing popular decorative wares and a significant expansion of their export business, particularly to Southeast Asia. The company produced items with many different patterns and marked them with a Bell brand and pattern name, with the limited company operating successfully until around 1912.

This vintage Brendan Erin Stone "Willow" pattern round dinner/serving plate is quite lovely. The Palestine pattern is a vibrant blue and white and features a floral border. The blue against the white porcelain background really pops. It measures approximately 9-1/4" and is in very good condition. It's marked on the bottom "Palestine JMPB Co". Great decor piece.

A desirable piece for any collector and for blue and white decor. Make this beautiful item part of your collection -- a splendid gift!
