This vintage American Cut crystal butter dish in the "Eleanor" pattern is awesome. This nostalgic butter dish is functional, substantial, and collectible. This specific style features a brilliant-cut glass finish with pinwheel and star designs. This dish holds a 1/4 pound stick of butter and measures approximately 8-1/2"W x 3-1/2" Tall x 3-1/4 Wide (front to back).
The American Cut Glass "Eleanor" pattern was popular during two different periods: first, during the American Brilliant Period from approximately 1897 to 1914 and again, in a separate, more mid-century style, from the 1950s to 1960s. This version of the pattern was created in a style featuring pinwheels, fans, and 8-sided stars, but with a distinct mid-century aesthetic.
This retro butter dish makes a great gift or an awesome addition to any kitchen or collector's display. It's a beautiful decor piece that would look great on any dining/kitchen table.
In excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs (looks brand new), this substantial butter dish allows you to see how much butter there is left without having to take off the lid. Simple and retro way to store butter. Great gift idea or a fabulous addition to your own kitchen.
